Greystone.Net Announces Winners of the Sixth Annual Best In Class Awards

The Sixth Annual Greystone.Net Best In Class Award Winners were announced at the Greystone.Net Client Conference Luncheon on November 10, 2008 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, FL. Awards were presented in eight categories, showcasing the finest in hospital and healthcare system Web site content and functionality.

In this year’s competition, Greystone and StayWell provided all of their clients with an opportunity to submit entries in a series of Web categories. Each entrant was asked to provide examples and written descriptions of why their organizations should be considered for the award. Entries were reviewed by a panel, were narrowed to a list of finalists, and an online ballot was created. This year there were nearly 100 entries and 40 finalists. As in previous competitions, clients were asked to vote for the sites they thought were Best In Class. Voting was held online from September 17 through October 3, 2008, and the results of the online voting weighed heavily in the selection of the final winners.

Greystone and StayWell also selected a Gold, Silver and Bronze Best Overall Web site based on all entries. This award recognizes the Client Web site that embodies the strategic vision of the organization, exceeds the expectations of visitors to the Web site, and is among the hospital and healthcare system leaders in terms of innovation, design, content and functionality.

This year’s awards for Best Overall Web Sites went to:

Gold Award: Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas

Silver Award: UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin

Bronze Award: M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas
