For some time now, video has been the most consumed content type on social media. During the stay-at-home measures put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, video content has become even more popular. To enable increased audience building, Facebook has added new video features for creators. 
The new video features are available to all Page admins in the Facebook Watch platform. Previously Facebook Watch features were only available to partners. The new/updated features include:
- Update to playlists. This update allows for new content to be published without launching a new Page. It works by adding playlist names to related video updates. This enables users to click or tap through a thematic collection of videos which increases discovery by listing multiple videos on a similar topic. Playlists now have a unique URL for easier sharing.
- Series. This is a new feature of playlists that allows for grouping of scripted serial content. If you have videos that are divided into individual episodes, Series gives you the ability to list and show episodes in chronological order. You can add seasons of episodes, as well as brand logos and trailers. In addition, when clicking on a particular series, the user is taken to a list-view of all your episodes where they can navigate between episodes and seasons, and can even watch trailers and pick up where they left off.
- New videos tab. This tab will list your videos by groups, thus focusing more on playlists and series listings. Viewers can also follow your Page more easily and change their video notifications to be alerted about new videos.
- Bulk uploader updates. This update allows for uploading up to 50 videos in one action. Coming soon: new editing tools within bulk uploader, allowing users to perform bulk functions like adding:
- Several videos series and playlists
- Rights protection
- In ads
- Auto-captions
