Healthcare marketing veteran Ben Dillon is the new co-chair of the Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame (HIHOF), a recognition program for individuals and organizations that contribute significantly to the healthcare digital marketing field.

Dillon’s appointment marks a full-circle journey, moving from judge to recipient to co-chair.

“I’m excited to help guide a program that has meant so much to me personally and our industry,” Dillon says. “HIHOF has played an important role in highlighting innovation in healthcare digital marketing. I look forward to making sure we continue to recognize those individuals and organizations who are moving our industry forward.”

Dillon brings considerable expertise to the position. As a co-owner of Cedar Rapids-based software company and digital agency Geonetric, he has helped countless healthcare organizations implement effective digital strategies. In addition, he served on the Society for Health Care Strategy & Market Development (SHSMD) board, was SHSMD President in 2019, is the 2024 recipient of the SHSMD Leadership Excellence Award, and is a co-founder and board member of the Iowa Startup Accelerator and the New Bohemian Innovation Collaborative (NewBoCo).

He will lead the program with Ahava Leibtag, CEO and founder of Aha Media Group. “I’ve been friends with Ben for more than 10 years, and I walk away from each encounter with a new idea or insight about healthcare marketing,” Leibtag says. “Ben is a thoughtful, steadying presence in our industry, and I feel so lucky to have him as a co-chair.”

Having received a HIHOF award in 2022, Dillon understands the impact of the recognition. He sees HIHOF as an important way to document the relatively young history of the healthcare marketing industry.

“When I was inducted, it was more than just professional validation — it was a humbling reminder that I’m part of a larger story,” Dillon says. “Healthcare marketing has evolved quickly and HIHOF creates this historical record of the innovators and milestones that shaped our field. Being able to help preserve that legacy while spotlighting today’s leaders is what makes this role so meaningful to me.”

Don’t forget to submit your nomination of an innovation, person, or organization to HIHOF. The winners will be announced at this year’s Healthcare Interactive Conference in Las Vegas, Nov. 9-12, 2025.
